The NBA playoffs are advancing and the first round is almost entirely on the books as the series between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Dallas Mavericks is the only one that has yet to be completed. There have been several surprises in this playoff already, including defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat swept in the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks. Additionally, LeBron James suffered the first first-round loss of his entire NBA career, as the defending Los Angeles Lakers champion fell to the Phoenix Suns in six games. This means that a new champion will be crowned at the end of the season.

After sweeping the Heat, the Milwaukee Bucks will face Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and the mighty Brooklyn Nets, while the Suns will face MVP favorite Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. In addition, the Philadelphia 76ers and Atlanta Hawks will tackle it, and the Utah Jazz will face the series winner between the Clippers and Mavericks.
