‘As I’m told…’ Plausible swap deal mooted as Spurs not quite done yet
Many are excited about Tottenham Hotspur’s additions. With the latest report that Richarlison is heading to North London, they still have to sell some players with no future, like Joe Rodon.
Rodon has been on the list of players willing to sell since the January window but no deal has surfaced. However, with the summer transfer season underway, Everton are keen on the 24-year-old.
TalkSPORT reports that Everton boss Frank Lampard has added the Tottenham Hotspur centre-half to his ‘shortlist’. The Wales international is not in Antonio Conte’s plans, and their search for a centre-back will push Rodon down the ranks at Hotspur Way. said Alex Crook.
“We know that for his part Frank Lampard is very keen on at least one Tottenham player in Harry Winks, possibly two, as I’m told Joe Rodon is also on Lampard’s shortlist this summer so there could be have some kind of an exchange agreement”,
Moreover, with the FIFA World Cup later this year, the Spurs defender is likely to want more playing time to secure a spot in the national team heading to Qatar.
Along with the Tottenham centre-back, Everton are also said to be on midfielder Harry Winks, so perhaps they could prepare for a double swoop this summer.
