Barcelona consider Frenkie de Jong-Bernardo Silva swap
La Liga giants Barcelona are reportedly considering offering Manchester City a swap deal to sign Bernardo Silva, with Frenkie de Jong going the other way.
According to a report by Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Bernardo Silva has appeared on Barcelona’s radar over a potential move in the summer transfer window. The Catalan heavyweights are planning to offer Frenkie de Jong to Manchester City as part of a swap deal to land the Portuguese playmaker.
Bernardo Silva has resurrected his stuttering career this term after a few years in and out of Pep Guardiola’s side at Manchester City. Despite his desperation to leave, he failed to seal a departure from the Etihad. But the 27-year-old put his head down and focused on delivering the goods on the pitch, and that’s exactly what he’s done this season.
The Portugal international has produced a solid 13 goals and six assists in 47 appearances in all competitions. But Silva remains somewhat unsettled at Manchester City and is open to exploring a new project in the summer transfer window, with widespread speculation linking him with a possible exit. Such a situation caught Barcelona’s attention.

So it’s perhaps no surprise to see Manchester City accept Barcelona’s swap offer should it come their way.
