Fall season officially kicks off for baseball after Friday’s first full team practice

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Alabama baseball returned to the field Friday afternoon for their first full team practice of the fall. The Crimson Tide opened with some skill work before entering an overcast intra-team scrum at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
âThe first day of team training is always a lot of fun,â said head coach Brad Bohannon. “These kids really love to play baseball. We have more experience than ever before, and it shows in the way we train and play. I’m excited to see how we grow over the next few weeks.”
The Crimson Tide returns to Diamond tomorrow afternoon for a practice at 11:30 a.m. CT followed by a first pitch at 1 p.m. in the second scrum of the weekend. Sunday will be a day of rest for the team.
Admission to the Alabama baseball field activity is free to the public. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through the main gate (Gate 3) located directly behind the home plate. Once inside, fans must remain in the lower seating area of ââthe bowl, access to the upper levels of the stadium being strictly prohibited.
