Food and housing needs survey launched on all Penn State campuses
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students on all campuses, including World Campus, will receive an email with information on how to complete the Food and Housing Needs Survey. Students can complete the survey via the link in their email or by going to https://bit.ly/enquiry-housing-food by October 21. The survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete and students who complete the survey will be eligible to win an Amazon gift card for up to $50.
The University encourages all students, whether or not they have had difficulty meeting their basic needs, to complete the survey. The survey results will help the University learn more about the prevalence of need on each Penn State campus, including World Campus. This survey is also an important step in directing resources and supporting and guiding future initiatives on housing and food insecurity, which is a growing issue for college students across the country.
Protecting the privacy of survey respondents is the University’s top priority. Although students will need to authenticate to complete the survey, only a small group of student affairs staff who can provide resources and support will have access to individual responses. Case managers within Student Care and Advocacy on each campus will contact students whose survey results indicate critical need so that resources and support can be provided.
After being analyzed, the overall survey results and recommendations for addressing the findings will be shared with the Penn State community. All public reporting will be made in the aggregate without identifying individuals.
