Green Arrow and Aquaman just got their own Elseworlds body swap story

In a new series of Green Arrow / Aquaman teams, the Emerald Archer and King of Atlantis are swapped in a new story resembling the CW’s Elseworlds event.
Warning: spoilers ahead for Aquaman / Green Arrow – Deep Target # 1!
In a new series celebrating their 80th birthday, Green arrow and Aquaman star in a body swap story that looks a lot like the one on the CW Elsewhere Event. Caused by unknown forces, the Emerald Archer and King of Atlantis have found themselves living each other’s lives and using each other’s powers and abilities, and they are both equally confused the one than the other, forcing them to join forces despite their strange circumstances.
From the writer Brandon Thomas and the artist Ronan Cliquet, Aquaman / Green Arrow – Deep Target presents a duo of heroes who do not often work together as a duo. Usually, the two are joined by the rest of the Justice League, combining their powers to frequently save the world. However, given that Green Arrow and Aquaman are celebrating their respective 80s this year, it’s fun to have a miniseries where only the two work together, despite the odd storyline that brought them together, where Arthur Curry is wielding a bow while Oliver Queen is the one with the trident and “spooky powers of a fish.”
In the problem itself, Green Arrow is seen infiltrating Atlantis and taking on his king, having developed propelled arrows that can be shot underwater. However, it wasn’t until the Emerald Archer and the King of Atlantis came face to face that the issue was revealed to have changed their lives. Somehow, reality has been altered and Arthur Curry has become the Green Arrow while Oliver Queen sits on the Atlantean throne as Aquaman. As they blame themselves first, they soon realize that neither of them knows why this happened, looking like The CW 2018 Elsewhere crossover where Oliver Queen and Barry Allen also inexplicably woke up living each other’s lives and wielding each other’s powers.
After brief fights and bickering, it appears that Arthur and Oliver have decided to work together to shed light on what happened to them. Additionally, this new miniseries hinted that the reason they changed their lives was because the Scorpio terror organization tampered with time, and it seems their leader, General Anderton, knows something. about what happened to Green Arrow and Aquaman, even though the changes weren’t his goal. It is clear that the Scorpion did not pay attention to his manipulation of time, such as when he removed Anderton from the prehistoric age and a small dinosaur was taken from the transport realm, which resulted in ‘Anderton merged with the creature and became a half-dinosaur.
While Scorpio is likely to blame for Arthur and Oliver’s predicament, the exact nature of what happened has yet to be revealed. As the new DC series continues, the unlikely hero couple will likely learn more about their distorted reality as they search for a way to restore the Elsewhere– chronological style, which seems to have been disturbed only in relation to the lives of Green arrow and Aquaman themselves.
