The 2022 recruiting cycle is officially in full swing as some of the country’s top high school soccer players continue to announce their respective decisions.

In the week starting September 25 and ending October 1, 17 players signed up to a Power Five college football program, including 10 class 2022 prospects and seven underclassmen. Of the players who signed up this week, five are ranked as four-star prospects according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

The list of Power Five schools that got at least one engagement this week includes (in alphabetical order): Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan (2), Michigan State (2), Ole Miss (2), Penn State, TCU and USC (2).

It should be noted that the verbal commitments are not binding and that the candidates of the 2022 promotion will not be able to formalize it until the early signing period of Division I, which begins on December 15, 2021 and ends on December 17, 2021. Those who choose not to sign during the first period will be able to do so on the national signing day on February 2, 2022.
