Manchester City reject swap deal involving £ 135million star as Newcastle make huge bid

Manchester City have rejected the idea of ââa swap deal involving Ferran Torres and Barcelona wide man Ousmane Dembele – who is wanted by Newcastle.
That’s according to Esport 3 in Catalonia, who claim Barca are pushing for Torres’ signing.
A delegation from Barcelona has reportedly traveled to England for talks with City. Torres is keen to return home to Spain and believes he can start for a great team.
It just didn’t happen in City. Torres has only appeared in four Premier League games this season, but you have to factor in a foot injury suffered in October that ruled him out for the remainder of 2021.

Maybe Torres thinks that with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Gabriel Jesus in the mix, he won’t be a key player under Pep Guardiola.
Torres subsequently made a deal with Barcelona, ââaccording to this report, and it is now up to the clubs to strike a deal.
City rejects Dembele’s exchange; a boost for Newcastle?
The report claims Barcelona wanted to bring the price down by offering a swap deal.
Barcelona tried to offer winger Ousmane Dembele, but City said no.
Dembele is out of contract at the end of the season, so City apparently don’t see the point in taking him.
Barcelona paid £ 135.5million for Dembele in 2017 but now he looks set to go for free.
The city that says no is at least a boost for Newcastle United, who love Dembele.
Mundo Deportivo claim Dembele has an “astronomical” offer on the Newcastle table.
Newcastle must of course stand, but the Magpies appear to be the favorites to sign Dembele in 2022 – especially now that City have said no.
