Nonnative x Gramicci FW21 GORE-TEX climbing pants

We get into the GORE-TEX spirit. From Stüssy to Goldwin to Reebok, there are plenty of weatherproof pieces out there, and nonnative keeps the party going by infusing their latest Gramicci collaborative pant series with this ubiquitous technical membrane.
nonnative and Gramicci have already had a good year: the duo’s easy pants, corduroy shorts, and Coolmax climbing trews have all been released in Japan in recent months, demarcating a few other non-native collections.
The rest of the non-native’s 39th collection is now available at retailers, like its COVERCHORD outpost, compatible with international shipments, including a range of GORE-TEX outerwear and accessories.
These Gramicci pants are the jewel of the technical capsule, an easy set of gray, pale green or navy blue socks that perfectly match the layering pieces, right down to the GORE-TEX INFINIUM lining (the first Gramicci GORE-TEX pants !).
If you’re unfamiliar with Gramicci’s work, there’s no better time to get acquainted. The American outdoor brand, now overseen by a Japanese management, has dropped many collaborations (ahem) over the past two years.
This builds on the growth it has shown in Japan since around 2010, when it began to have joint efforts with everyone from niche brands to shopping mall brands.
Key factors in this collaboration include an ultra-durable 15 denier ripstop fit from a nylon / poly blend, Gramicci’s signature integrated waistband and a loose, tapered fit. As usual, Gramicci’s gusseted crotch allows for freedom of movement, enhancing the elasticity of its high-quality workmanship. And, yes, because it’s lined with GORE-TEX, each pant is waterproof and windproof, yet breathable enough to avoid suffocating the wearer. They do it all!
