Riders Tip-Off Season 2021-22 with opening weekend at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
Cavaliers basketball is back (record!) At Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse this weekend as the team takes to the field Friday and Saturday to kick off the first two home games of the 2021 season- 22. The action-packed weekend begins with opening night driven by Goodyear when the Cavs face the Charlotte Hornets at 7:00 p.m. followed by breast cancer awareness night presented by Cleveland Clinic and Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio Saturday, Oct. 23 at 6:00 p.m. against the Atlanta Hawks.
The Cavs 2021-22 season is a much anticipated return to the hard court in front of a full capacity crowd, and fans can look forward to the electric atmosphere that makes every game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse an incredible experience. A new player intro video on Humongotron will capture the new era of Cavs basketball and the fan-favorite Cavaliers entertainment teams are back with some exciting new routines. The unpredictable antics of fan favorite mascots Moondog and Sir CC will keep the fun and energy going all night long!
Opening night piloted by Goodyear
As the Cavaliers begin the 2021-22 regular season, the team is issuing a call to action with the launch of a special themed line throughout the season ‘LET EM KNOW’, which serves as a rallying cry for ALL to tell the story of Cleveland. courage, pride, attitude, perseverance and our collective love for the land. LET IT KNOW is a statement of empowerment that transcends basketball to tell the world that we are movers, creators and dreamers who rise TOGETHER for success on and off the court and in our community.
When the Cavs take on the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m., all fans in attendance will receive a LET EM KNOW opening night t-shirt. presented by the Cleveland Clinic.

Breast cancer awareness evening presented by Cleveland Clinic and Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio
In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month October, the Cavs will be hosting their âBreast cancer awareness eveningâ on Saturday 23 October, when the team hosts the Atlanta Hawks at 6:00 p.m. The Cavs are proud to partner again with the Cleveland clinic and Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio to help educate fans and raise awareness for a good cause.
Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be filled with the traditional breast cancer awareness color as the Cavs light up the house in pink for the night. Here are some of the highlights from Breast Cancer Awareness Night:

Information on the broadcast of the 2021-22 season
Fans can tune in to Bally Sports Ohio for all 82 Cleveland regular season games with play-by-play announcer John Michael and game analyst Austin Carr in the booth. Angel Gray is also returning to take on the side reporting role for the entire season. At Bally Sports Ohio located in the FieldHouse atrium, Campy Russell and Jeff Phelps host the pre-game and post-game editions of Cavaliers Live 30 minutes before and immediately after each game.
The Wine & Gold will also make four national television appearances on NBA TV this season: November 13 against Boston, November 22 against Brooklyn, January 2 against Indiana, and January 22 against Oklahoma City.
All of the Cavaliers 2021-22 regular season games will be broadcast on WTAM 1100 AM and WMMS 100.7 FM and the Cavaliers radio network with announcer Tim Alcorn, game analyst Jim Chones as well as studio host for pre-game, half-time and post-game Mike Snyder joined by Brad Sellers after the game. Spanish radio WNZN Power 89.1 FM will broadcast all matches in Spanish with Rafa Hernandez Brito providing the call for the match.
