Stevens, Central exchange places, the two STM teams occupy second place in the weekly poll | News
The boys from St. Thomas More and Winner enjoyed a loss this week to Sioux Valley and both advanced in the Class A boys’ basketball poll. The Cavaliers are second and Winner is just behind them in the third place. Both teams are undefeated and only follow Dakota Valley in the poll.
St. Thomas More is also second in the girls’ poll. The Cavaliers held their position this week. Red Cloud also received votes in this week’s Class A Girls Poll.
On the girls’ side of the Class B poll, White River moved from third to fourth after a loss this week to Class A No.3 West Central. The White River boys remained in second place with just one loss this season in the Lakota Nations Invitational final.
In class AA, the girls from Rapid City Central remained in the top five despite a 3-point road loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson last weekend. Watertown also received votes in this week’s poll. Rapid City Stevens occupied Central’s fourth place after winning both games last weekend, including a 21-point victory over Jefferson the day after his victory over Central.
