Track and field ends season at NCAA championships

EUGENE, Oregon – The University of Memphis Athletics concluded its outdoor season this weekend after three athletes competed in the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Athletics Championships.
After four full days of competition, the championships wrapped up Saturday afternoon at Hayward Field.
Senior Cole Riddle finished the weekend as a second-team All-America winner after placing 14th in the men’s pole vault. In the field of 24 athletes, Riddle had a maximum clearance of 5.30m.
Robby Watsonmaking his outdoor championship debut, finished the men’s hammer with a best mark at 65.24m (23rd), earning honorable mention All-America.
Dee Nia McMiller finished his college career also earning honorable mention All-America honors. She threw a top mark of 64.36m in the women’s hammer, placing 19th among
Riddle, Watson and McMiller were three of 31 American Athletic Conference athletes to qualify and compete for the championships.
